WorldTech works collaboratively with each software partner to ensure that the keyboards are 100% accurate and up-to-date with the latest software versions.
WorldTech utilizes a sophisticated laser etching design and manufacturing process to permanently engrave the software commands and icons onto the keycaps (in some cases, more than 100 commands are laser etched onto the keys). Because WorldTech does not use stickers or labels for the software commands, the enhancements are as durable as the keyboard itself. WorldTech also uses color keycaps to designate the important command categories of each NLE program.
Finally, it is important to note that use of a SpecialistTM Keyboard is not limited to the particular NLE software program it is designed for. It also functions as a standard keyboard when used with other applications.
The Specialist Advantage
WorldTech Devices has conducted time-motion studies to quantify the productivity benefits that video editing professionals can expect by using the Specialist keyboard. Two scenarios were applied: one involved use of the computer mouse alone; the other with a combination of the mouse and shortcut commands. A command sequence was repeated several times using both scenarios. The time savings achieved by using the combination of shortcut commands and the mouse ranged from 38% to 50%, with an average time savings of approximately 43%. Therefore, NLE software users could significantly reduce the time it takes to complete their projects by using WorldTech's Specialist Keyboard.
