High-Quality 240-Channel UHF Mic Systems from Azden
The Azden product line contains a full spectrum of on camera UHF mic systems. The biggest technological difference between these and the less expensive VHF systems is in the way various radio signals travel. VHF signals tend to travel in a straight line, and when they encounter obstacles like chairs and tables, and even people, they bounce , or reflect, off these objects. The result can be noise (hissing sound), or drop out. The drop out is caused by the original signal and the reflected signal in effect canceling each other out for an instant. Either of these factors can adversely affect your soundtrack. On the other hand, UHF signals tend to travel either through or around these same objects, so there are no reflections, and noise and dropouts are virtually eliminated. This is the biggest advantage that UHF has over VHF. Add this to the to the fact that these systems come with 240 field adjustable channels, and the potential for interference is virtually eliminated.

 Azden 300UPR
Even smaller than the 500UDR, the new 300UPR UHF receiver is perfect for the new, small DV cameras. With 240 frequencies (794-806MHz) to digitaly choose from, you'll always find a clear channel.
Twin antennas provide great reception while the rear-mounted shoe-mount is perfect for attaching the receiver horizontally to the camera. The 300UPR has a mini-jack balanced mic-level output, a headphone monitor output and an LCD display that provides information such as frequency selected, reception quality and battery life. The receiver comes with both a mini-to-mini and mini-to-XLR cable.

 Azden 320 UPR
The 320UPR 240 frequency selectable, dual-channel system is Azden's latest advance in our over 20 year history of providing "audio for videography".
Smaller and lighter than all previous units, the new 320UPR is a discrete dual-channel UHF receiver offering a choice of 240 user-selectable frequencies for each channel, and features stereo output, digital LCD displays with multi-function readout, and separate Power On/Off switches for each channel. The 320UPR operates on just 2 "AA" batteries and has a unique dual-function DC jack. Optional NiMH batteries can be recharged while in the 320UPR, or the receiver can be powered from an external, optional power supply. Additionally, the 320UPR comes with both dual-plug XLR and a stereo mini-plug output cable, a removable shoe-mount, and flexible high-gain antennas.

Azden 30XT
Designed to operate with either the 300UPR or the 320UPR, the Azden 30XT UHF plug-in transmitter features a large LCD readout and digital frequency selection (choose from 240 frequencies). Can be used with any high-quality low impeadance wired microphone. Using a single 9V Alkaline battery, the 30XT operates for 6-8 hours.
