Will Digital Juice JumpBacks work with my NLE system?
JumpBacks works with all NLE systems.

What size and formats do JumpBacks come in?
1. JPEG sequences at 99 quality where each file is one frame at 720x486. 2. QuickTime Movies using PhotoJPEG compression @ 99 quality and 30 frames per second at 720x486. (QT 3 or greater required). 3. PAL format in QuickTime Movie only, (720x576 and 25 fps).

Should I use the JPEG sequences or QuickTime Movies?
Digital Juice recommends that Mac systems use the QuickTime Movies. Windows-based PC systems use JPEG sequences. (The JPEGs may be directly imported or rendered to an AVI file.) Many systems can import either format so it can be a matter of preference.

Will I need to render the JPEG sequences or QTs?
All systems need to render or import JumpBacks; it may take up to 10 minutes depending on the system.

Which has better quality the JPEGs or QTs?
They are equal in quality.

Can I create an AVI file from the JPEG sequences that my WinPC system will import?
FastMovieProcessor, included shareware, will create an AVI file from the JPEG sequences.

How do I convert to 720*480 pixels for my DV system?
FastMovieProcessor has a setting to crop the extra six pixels.

Did Digital Juice write FastMovieProcessor?

Are there any issues with Avid software?

How do I render the QuickTime movies for my Mac based system?

I have both Mac and WinPC systems. Do I need to purchase the QuickTime movies and JPEG sequences?

Can I directly import a JPEG sequence into my NLE software?

Can I use JBs in Adobe AfterEffects, Boris and other "effects" software.
Yes, JBs can be imported and modified with other software.

My NLE system does not have a CD ROM, what can I do?
JBs are available on tape in many formats; you can capture the background like any other video.

Are the JBs available on video-tape?
Yes, JBs come on SVHS, MiniDV, BetaSP and DigitalBetaCam tape for an extra charge per volume. Each JB loops for 1 minute on the tape.

Can JBs be used on the web?
Yes, you would need editing and streaming software.

Can JBs be used with PowerPoint or other multimedia software?
Yes, but they need rendered to smaller AVI's or QTs.

How do I find the loop point on a tape?
Find the number of frames from the CD and trim accordingly, (number of JPEG files or the length in video properties on the MOV info).
