NewTek TriCaster supports prominent role of live video in major site re-launch NewTek, Inc., manufacturer of industry-leading video and 3D animation products, today announced that the National Hockey League has integrated TriCaster™, its portable production and virtual set system, into the seven-channel digital network of its recently re-launched NHL.com Web site. With an emphasis on live content, NHL.com, as well as select NHL teams will use the TriCaster to produce and stream content for their LiveWire Channel, featuring special all-access shows, daily live news conferences, morning skates and other live events. The other channels will offer current highlights and classic games and interviews from the last two and a half years as well as podcasts, radio programming and other archival features.
