Think global, act Adobe: New CS4 collection offers substantial upgrades

I’m always a bit wary about perennial NLE software upgrades. Some revisions reflect a major change, such as Adobe’s jump from Premiere 6.5 to Premiere Pro a few years back. Other upgrades offer a couple of tweaks with an extra bell or whistle that make you wonder if they are worth the money or the hassle.
Available this month, Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection is a substantial upgrade to last year’s CS3 offering. Yes, you have the usual improvements in editing efficiency, but Adobe has also reached new levels of interoperability between programs in the collection.
