The SOHORAID SR2 Series is a two drive storage system with RAID 1 or RAID 0 storage option for storing contents in larger scales. It’s industrially designed with durable aluminum exterior finish that’s built tough for hard drive protection of the highest grade and high durability for professional content creation applications.

Optional RAID1 mirroring function for drive redundancy
The internally built RAID 1 functionality option in the SR2 controls all data entering the system by duplicating them into two sets and then storing them in real-time into the two drives enclosed so you’ll always have two sets of the exact same data in the system to protect against possible drive failures.

Optional RAID 0 striping function to enhance speed performance
The SR2 comes with the RAID 0 option of stripping across the two enclosed drives for those who prefer enhanced performance with high I/O speed. In the RAID 0 mode via eSATA connectivity, the SR2 can reach above 200MB/sec. I/O throughput for a greater and efficient creative workflow.
 
System monitoring made easy
The frontal LCD display allows you to monitor your SR2 conveniently by indicating critical information such as the drive and fan health, the system temperature and visual warnings.

Advance USB 3.0 connectivity built-in (WBS3 model only)
The original purpose of the USB 1.1 & 2.0 (Universal Serial Bus) is most commonly used for computer to communicate with other computer peripherals and electronic devices. But this is now vastly changing with the newest breakthrough USB 3.0 that’s ten times faster then the USB 2.0 and six times faster than FireWire 800. With this incredible performance, creative professionals can now be able to handle much more with greater speed and shorter waiting time. USB 3.0 supports plug & play and is downward compatible with USB 1.1 & 2.0.
 
Removable drive for convenience & password protection for security
If drive replacement becomes necessary, the SR2 comes with modular designed removable drive trays for effortless removal and installation of drives. At the same time, it’s password protected from any system configuration changes that may result in total data destruction of the original data already stored.

The SR2 Series beats any compact two drive systems with its seamless, 3mm thick full aluminum built body that’s robust to withstand the most demanding of use. With aluminum body, the system dissipates heat faster for a greater stability and performance that also extends the lives of the drives.
