G-SPEED XL is the ideal storage solution for multi-stream, multi-user uncompressed SD/HD & 2K work flows. G-SPEED XL features dual-channel 4Gbit Fibre Channel connectivity and is available in 2U or 3U rack mountable enclosures with 12 or 16 Hitachi SATAII drives. G-SPEED XL and can be configured (via a front panel LCD or Web GUI) as a JBOD or in RAID levels 0, 1, 3, 5 or RAID 6.
This flexibility enables the system to be tuned to the required level of performance and fault-tolerance necessary to fully support your application.
G-SPEED XL is "SAN Ready" and is an affordable and simple way to deploy a fail-safe SAN or add additional high performance RAID storage to existing XSan2 / metaSAN networks. G-SPEED XL's built-in Web GUI is used to monitor the status of the system including power supply voltage, fan RPM and the temperature of the RAID controller & hard drives. In the event of a problem, G-SPEED XL can send an email message to up to four recipients.
G-SPEED XL supports the latest and greatest professional video editing equipment from AJA, Avid and Blackmagic Design. G-SPEED XL is compatible with SAN software including Xsan, metaSAN and StorNext.

The SAN Ready G-SPEED XL offers industry leading Fibre Channel performance and easily supports multi-stream ProRes, uncompressed HD and 2K Film video editing work flows. A 16-drive G-SPEED XL connected to a dual-channel 4 Gbit Fibre Channel host bus adapter will pump out over 550 MB/second to support the most demanding post production environments.
