2005 has been a very good year for Digital Videographers. We had some really magnificent new software, hardware and production tools come out that have all had a significant impact on producing video.
We've seen a bunch of new HD camcorders finally start shipping, and the NLE software guys are right on target with support for all of the new formats. Over the past several years the West Coast DV Expo has become a very important show. All of the major players in the industry are there, showing off their latest and greatest new products. The timing of the West Coast show is late fall or early winter, making it kind of a mid way point between NAB shows.
