This past year will go down as the year that HDV emerged. Back in April, at NAB, attendees got their first glance at the future - Sony's HDV camcorder. It was on display in a glass case and it wasn't actually working, but it generated a ton of excitement. The big buzz at this year’s NAB was High Definition TV (HDTV), in all its glorious flavors. DV Expo has become one of the more important shows in the industry. It's a great opportunity for end users to get the chance to see the current landscape of digital videography. You can sit in any of the major vendors presentation theatres and watch slick product demos complete with bad jokes and free T-shirts.
