Do my eyes deceive me? Did my laser eye surgery from a year ago suddenly go bad? I just installed the latest edition of Sony’s Vegas Pro 9, and I can see that this ain’t your daddy’s typical upgrade.
As a DJ, I’ve been a fan of all of Sony’s products—ACID, Sound Forge, and the CD and DVD Architect lines. With Vegas, I’ve made many of my promotional videos for my DJ company, I’ve produced video montages for my wedding events, and I’ve created my own ambient videos with my name in 3D. (Read More)

I can say this right up front: Vegas Pro 9 addresses some long-standing issues raised in the Vegas user community. It also steps out in front of the pack of other NLEs with cutting-edge features and support for the newest formats. To me, the biggest advantages of this release are the total support of 64-bit technology and 4K acquisition and editing. (

If you are reading this article, I think it’s a pretty safe bet that you have a big screen HD TV in your house. Now that you have it, you wonder how you ever watched sports or the latest action movie or a documentary or even the cooking channel without it.
