I’ll admit it – I’m a Mac Guy. And for those that regularly read my blog posts, newsletter articles or have checked out some of my workflow hacks this is isn’t news.
Lately though, I’ve become a lot more open minded.
Like many of my peers, I’m still a little intimidated by FCP X. But I am still planing on becoming proficient with the app because of the novel ways it improved FCP 7. I also think FCP will eventually re-gain some of it’s mindshare so I want to be able to talk knowledgeably ab ( Read More)

If there's one thing that stifles creative energy with deadly effectiveness, it's having to wait. That's why the new GPU-accelerated features in Sony's Vegas Pro 11 video-editing application ($600 as of January 3, 2012) are more welcome than pretty much anything else Sony could have done for this application. Sony Vegas Pro 11 is the latest release and now only runs on Vista and Windows 7. So for professional use let’s just say your only real option with Vegas 11 is Windows 7 as our experience with Vista hasn’t been all sweetness and light.

Massive performance improvements are worth the upgrade alone; an outstanding update to a classy, powerful editor
It’s a little disconcerting when a software publisher releases an update but doesn’t bother to put a list of new features on its website. We half expected Vegas Pro 11 to be a damp squib, but the truth is quite the opposite. (Read More)
