CS5 is among Adobe's most significant upgrades to the Production Premium bundle ever.
As video editors, we have patiently waited (and waited and waited) for tools that are as quick as our clicks and keystrokes. But performance gains in past versions of Adobe's Creative Suite have been mostly incremental. Today, Adobe revealed Creative Suite 5 (CS5). Like many members of the press, I've been working with beta software for about three months, and I am very familiar with the additions to Premiere Pro, OnLocation, Media Encoder, and a couple of ancillary programs, which I'll detail here. For information about After Effects, Photoshop, or other programs in the suite, you'll have to look elsewhere. (

So what can you do with an old copy of Premiere you ask? Use it to upgrade to Premiere Pro CS4 for under $300 or even better, upgrade to the full Adobe Production Premium CS4 for around $1,000!! In this tough economy we are all looking for deals and ways to save money. Turning your old copies of Premiere into new CS4 versions is like spinning straw into gold!
