Grass Valley, the leading global manufacturer of broadcast and production equipment including the nonlinear editing program EDIUS, is hosting a contest for editors to show off their chops and compete at a chance for thousands of dollars of production gear!

Contestants need to cut together a 60-second or less commercial spot promoting EDIUS. Find out more information about EDIUS, here.

Your commercial can be anything you like, we only ask one thing – be funny. Humorous entrants will receive special recognition and be weighted more heavily for winning consideration. Other than that – go nuts! Tout the software’s features, or create a dramatic re-enactment of an eleventh-hour edit. Do everything with psychedelic animation, or enlist your funemployed acting buddies to stage a live demo. The style and message is entirely up to you – the only requirement is that the cut is a promotion for EDIUS software and uses humor. A little laughter will go a long way when we’re picking our winner.
