The cat is out of the bag on the Adobe CS6 Production Premium. It isn’t shipping yet but I’ve been able test out some of the CS6 products for a few weeks now. While there’s big additions and changes in the entire Creative Suite my first and main focus was to see just how Premiere Pro has changed, what new features have been added and what hasn’t been addressed as of yet. Overall, Adobe continues to make Premiere Pro a better product that will let you “edit your way”. It isn’t perfect (no NLE is Read More

Steve Jobs was the greatest product innovator in the last couple of centuries, and his passing saddened me significantly. My appreciation goes back to his storied commencement address at Stanford University, which revealed him to be a deep and thoughtful man. I stand in awe of his incredible string of product successes, including the original Mac, iMac, iPod, iPhone, iPad, iTunes, and Apple App Store—not to mention Pixar—as well as his ability to produce maniacal, passionate fans. But that doesn Read More

His current personal project is a YouTube series called “Stenderz“, a weekly parody music video recapping that weeks episode of EastEnders, a soap opera on BBC One. I still have no idea what Eastenders is but I LOVE Stenderz, and look forward to seeing the how they pull of great productions every single week. Episode 9, The Katy Perry One went online last week and is arguably better than the original mus Read More

Vegas Pro 11 is a welcome upgrade to this classic professional editing tool. Some software upgrades are about flashy new interfaces and sexy new features, and others have more to do with supercharging the engine under the hood in order to boost the overall performance. This past year, video editing tools have been working on the flashy side with support for working with 3D video, but the real focus has continued to be on the machinery - taking advantage of today's 64-bit architectures to work Read More

Creative COW Forum Thread started by Ron Lindebloom

I had to smile reading the people on the original thread below speculating about the possibility of officially licensed Mac OS on an HP Workstation.

For years, Tim Wilson and I have talked about the idea of HP providing workstations that run the Mac OS. (Not every PC manufacturer, just HP.) Read More
