We are open for business as usual!

How To Make Your Video Look Old…But Not Tired
The Unsung Hero of Magic Bullet Suite 11

I say unsung, because there’s not any mention of it being part of the Magic Bullet Suite. Once I loaded the Suite and opened it up for the first time in Premiere Pro CS5.5 — there it was. I went back to the RedGiant website and searched and found just a small amount of information on their blog. Read More

Avid listens to their customers.
A few years ago Avid did something unprecedented in our industry that many editors may have forgotten about. They took their show on the road. It wasn't actually a road show as much as it was a chance for their top management to visit with post-houses, professional editors, indie film makers and user groups. They asked what Avid needed to fix and when they asked for honest feedback, they sure got it! What did Avid do with this information? They used Read More

Tony asks: With previous versions of Final Cut Pro there were tons of plugins and tools to enhance the software. Where did they all go? With Final Cut Pro X it seems like you just purchase and download with no plugin support. What gives? Any resources or a tool that can make the transition to what I payed thousands of dollars for? With all the craziness of the Final Cut X going on, people threatening to switch NLE’s, wondering where to go and every blogger writing 10 articles about why FCPX is great or why it isn’t, I decided to take action. I didn’t want to write about it right away though. Cammon and I made our video about why you can’t use FCPX on a feature and that’s that. Read More
