We are spending a lot of time talking to our customers about the many options available to them. Adobe and Avid are both offering special "switcher" or "crossgrade" promotions with discounts at 50% or more. We've seen great interest from all levels of customer’s especially po Read More

It's been five months since Thunderbolt technology arrived on the scene with the latest MacBook Pro refresh. At the time, not many devices were available to make use of the speedy new I/O connection. While some devices and accessories may not be available just yet, many should be arriving shortly. We highlight a handful that could he Read More

You want to use the latest technology and take advantage of the speed and performance per dollar of the Sandy bridge CPUs.

Just before an Avid-hosted event last night on the Warner Bros. lot, editors who gathered there were discussing the shortfalls of FCP X as well as the direction of Adobe and Avid. The buzz was palpable. Inside the Steven J. Ross theater, Avid brought the troops together to emphasize its commitment to the professional market, hammering home that their focus is us: the editors. It was good to hear at a time when some industry people and businesses are feeling abandoned after the release of FCP Read More

On Wednesday evening Avid held its Committed to the Professional event on the Warner Brothers Studio lot in Burbank California. The event was announced just over a week ago in a blog post by Avid’s CEO. I would have loved to attend the gathering but since it was in California and I’m in Tennessee it just wasn’t meant to be. But there were some tweets that came out of the event by the #livetoedit hashtag. Read More
