Avid to Preview HDV Release of Avid Xpress Pro HD at WEVA EXPO 2005; Free System Training On-Site

Sarasota, FL - At the WEVA 15th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo 2005 (August 8-11), Avid, a Platinum Show Sponsor, will showcase a pre-release version of its Avid Xpress® Pro HD system with HDV functionality in WEVA EXPO exhibit booth #311.
This new version will support all of the Sony and JVC implementations of HDV and will allow wedding and event videographers to mix HDV with other formats they are already using – such as DV25, DV50, DVCPRO HD and uncompressed SD – in real-time without rendering. Avid’s demonstrations and on-site system training sessions will show how specific features in the state-of-the-art Avid Xpress Pro HD system allow WEVA professionals to work better and faster, including: real-time, multi-format multicam; automatic color correction for multiple clips; image stabilization with auto-zoom; titling power with Avid Marquee and Avid FX; pan and zoom of oversized images; and real-time animated alpha channel support.
