If you're an Avid editor who's itching to push your high-def Xpress Pro and Media Composer projects out to a high-def disc, you're finally about to get your chance. Though you can't buy Avid DVD by Sonic - BD Edition directly from Sonic, you will find this Blu-ray-only authoring software inside Avid's Studio Toolkit 5.5, the latest suite of add-ons for Xpress Pro and Media Composer products scheduled for release in June. Sonic's Rolf Hartley lifts the hood on the first Blu-ray Disc authoring app made expressly for the pro video market.
