G-Technology, Inc. (G-Tech) today unveiled its new G-SPEED eS storage solutions featuring 3Gb/s eSATA connectivity and RAID 5 data protection. Specifically designed for professional content creation applications, G-SPEED eS supports multi-stream SD and uncompressed HD video editing on Mac’s and PC’s at an unprecedented low cost per GB. “The new G-SPEED eS supports uncompressed HD video editing via a high-speed eSATA interface with only four SATA II disk drives,†said Roger Mabon, G-Tech’s President. “Storage for HD production has never been more simple or more affordable.†G-SPEED eS features: • High-speed 3Gb/s eSATA interface • Configurable as RAID 0, 1, 5 or JBOD • Storage capacities up to 4TB using 7200 RPM Hitachi SATA II drives • Single unit Supports multi-stream SD & 8-bit 1080/60i HD workflows • Two units support 10-bit, 1080i playback in protected mode (RAID 5) • Web-based GUI for simple configuration and management • Compact aluminum enclosure with removable disk drive modules and fan • Ships with 4-lane PCIe host bus adapter • Mac OS X & Windows XP compatible • 2-year warranty G-SPEED eS will be available in June 2007 with prices starting at $999 (US MSRP).
