With DVDit Pro HD, Roxio is hoping to corner the market for early adoptors of HDV camcorders. It’s a DVD authoring tool that supports Blu-ray disc creation. The menu-creation tool is the heart of any DVD authoring package, and DVDit Pro HD offers a slick interface packed with task windows. It’s essentially a tool aimed at consumers, so everything is right there in front of you. Pressing keys 1 to 5 lets you cycle through the default presets, offering support for movie editing or menu design workflows. If you’re more used to the aesthetic minimalism of Adobe Encore DVD, it’s easy enough to customize your workspace and save it as a new preset layout.
